Abstract

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a single-base fluorescent lamp socket wherein a rotor can be returned to its original position, even if the rotor has been rotated by inserting a lamp such that a projection for distinction engages with a recessed part for distinction of the rotor. SOLUTION: This socket is equipped with a socket body 1, having a substantially L-shaped locking recessed part 11 in which a projection part 7 for lock, is locked against slip-off, by inserting and rotting a protrusion part 6 of a lamp 3 into a storing recessed part 10, and a rotor 2 having a recessed part 28 for distinction engaging with a projection 8 for distinction of the lamp 3 and is capable of making turning motion from a first position, in which the projection part 7 for lock can be inserted into the locking recessed part 11 to a second position to which a base 5 has been rotated, and provided with a rotor-returning means 28 which returns the rotor 2 to the first position, when the protrusion part 6 is inserted in the second position into the storing recessed part 11.
